That Was A Very Productive Weekend

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a relaxing fall weekend, mine was very productive. My parents and I were busy making things for the Market on Old Lake George sale.

We started by finishing the settee. Yes, that settee that I started working on and shared with you a month ago, a month ago yesterday in fact. Slow and steady wins the race, right?!

A little blogging secret: Seasoned bloggers make a calendar organizing what they will be talking about and when they will be posting.

Me? Not so much. It’s safe to say that most of these 200 posts here have been completed within the same day that they were started.

So after this weekend I feel like a big-girl blogger. We got so many projects done that I have them scheduled out on my calendar!

Sam kept bugging asking me if I had finished the settee and she felt in limbo not knowing what it would end up looking like. (Silly Sam.) Goes without saying that she was very excited when I told her today was the day we would be blogging about the finished settee. To read about where we got the settee you can visit this post. If you don’t want to know the backstory, know that when we left off it had just been painted.

The next step was to recover the seat cushion and the back cushions. My Mom and I looked at several different fabrics, and decided this grey/blue striped farmhouse fabric worked well with the paint.

The final step was the added off white trim to the back cushions. Realistically, this is done to cover the staples where the fabric is attached, but it also adds a nice clean touch.

Have you been wondering also what happened to that settee? : ) Not so much you say, but you would like a nice before and after?

My calendar this week is looking pretty full with other projects we worked on this weekend and I’m excited to share those before and afters with you also!
